  • After you complete the kit installation, move the steering to complete right and left so as to inspect various moving parts. Also, look for any sign of interference. Make sure that you check it properly and resolve any problem before you lower the vehicle and operate it.
  • If things are fine and you have installed everything perfectly, install your new tires carefully. Again check by rotating the steering and see if there is any problem or abnormality.

When Do I Need a New Driveshaft?

The driveshaft is the component that is responsible for transmitting the torque from the engine to wheels. Given that driveshaft is an important component of a vehicle, any kind of problem with it can certainly affect the drivability.

For those of you who are wondering when should you replace your driveshaft, here are the symptoms that you can notice indicating the failure of the same.

  • Frequent or constant abnormal sounds: this is one of the symptoms pointing towards a problem with the driveshaft. This could be the result of failure or wear out of the bearing or bushing which supports the driveshaft due to which they may interfere with the shafts ability to properly rotate. This causes an unusual scraping or clunking and rattling sounds from below the vehicle. In fact, any kind of abnormal sounds in your vehicle should be taken seriously and you must take your vehicle to the service center as soon as possible.
  • The problem in turning vehicle: if you ever experience a problem while turning the vehicle, there is a great possibility that the drive shaft is broken which is, in turn, preventing the wheels from properly turning. Whether resulting from a broken driveshaft or not, this is something that you need to address right away for the matter of safe driving.
  • Vibrations: this is an obvious symptom of some serious trouble in the driveshaft. The vibrations are an indicator of worn out driveshaft U-joints and bushing (the parts which are responsible for preventing the driveshaft from vibrating). It can be felt when you start or drive the vehicle. In addition to causing discomfort, excessive vibrations due to a worn-out driveshaft may accelerate the wear of other components as well.
  • Shuddering during acceleration: in case you have started experiencing a shudder while accelerating from a stop position or a low speed, it could be yet another pointer of failing driveshaft components. It is mostly caused by a loose U-joint or a bad center bearing in the driveshaft.

So if you notice any of the above-mentioned symptoms, rush to a mechanic and confirm whether there is any problem with your driveshaft.

What size lift kit do I have on my Jeep?

In an earlier section, we had discussed the different recommended lift Heights for different size of tyres. Now here is a quick trick to measure the lift of your Wrangler.

First of all, park the Wrangler on a levelled and flat surface. Using a measuring tape, measure along with your front coil springs and record its total height.

Now, from the value, subtract 12 inches for finding the lift amount over the stock height. Do the same with one of your rear coil springs.

However, you only have to subtract 8 inches from its length. Also, if you find any blocks or spacers at front or rear, you need to measure the spacer height and add it to the measurements derived before.

Frequently Asked Questions about Jeep Lift Kit-2019

Question 1: Why does my Jeep Lean to the side after installing a new kit?

Don’t be shocked as this happens in Jeeps. Jeeps lean on the side of the passenger because of the placement of the spare gas tank and the spare tire. Their particular weights cause the passenger’s side to bend.  If you notice this lean on your car, you can add ½spacer to level it.

Question 2: Why is the rear end of my Jeep Sagging?

This is super normal. The Jeep’s weight distribution is uneven from the back, front, and side to side.

Question 3: Should I go with a 2.5’’ Lift or the 3 Lift?

It depends on the size of the wheel you want to install. If you opt to go for bigger tires, it is recommended the three lift to be fixed for higher clearance from the ground.

Question 4:  What other components and tools do I need when installing the Jeep Lift Kit?

If you are using a 2012 Jeep model, you don’t need any additional components or tools. If your machine is running on 35-inch tires, you need an adjustable track bar and the exhaust spacer kit.

Question 5: Are Adjustable Control Arms and an Adjustable Front Track Bar Needed in 3 lifts?

Yes. Adjustable arms control and an adjustable front track bar are needed.  They assist in correcting the car’s geometry and stabilizing it.

Good Jeep Lift kit are highly dependable and have been approved to be very effective. We recommend you to purchase a significant Jeep lift kit that perfectly serve your needs.
